Going by the definition, Timeboxing is a simple time management technique that involves allotting a fixed, maximum unit of time for an activity in advance, and then complete the activity within that time frame.

Well, this small thing is the heart of the whole system. When you pre-define a set of tasks for a block an limit it with time, it builds momentum inside you to accomplish more of them every minute thereafter.
This small effect compounds over time to result in huge productivity gains.
